Location
The Balearic Islands are an archipelago formed by four major islands, Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Minorca is surely one of the most outstanding islands known for its high-level tourism. The Hotel Sa Barrera is situated in Cala en Porter, a beautiful and very thriving tourist resort which stands on a cliff offering stunning views and crystal-clear water. Besides the multitude of bars and restaurants there is the famous disco Cova d’en Xoroi which is the most popular nightclub on the island set in a series of natural caves with a spectacular sea view. In the summer-time the resort is visited by tourists from all over the world especially from Italy and the United Kingdom.
Cala en Porter is “a must” for everybody. It is famous for its natural cliff-sheltered cove with a long white-sandy beach located below the cliff on which the hotel stands. It is accessible either by car or on foot through a comfortable stairway behind the hotel.
The Hotel San Miguel is situated in Mahon. Mahon is the capital of Menorca, a commercial and tourist centre and is known to be a lively city not only in the summertime.
This allows the hotel also to open during the low season. The climate is rather mild in the winter months. The bathing season starts in springtime and lasts until the end of October. The island is famous for its unspoilt countryside, a variety of different but beautiful landscapes, sandy beaches with crystal blue water and growing little towns.
